Right, kicking things off early – the AA have reports of debris on the M7 Limerick/ Dublin Road heading north between J23 Moneygall and J22 Roscrea.

Okay, let’s get the weather out for the way for starters.
Met Éireann are reporting sunny spells in the northern half of the country, but it will be mostly cloudy across Munster and south Leinster – with patchy rain in the west and southwest coastal areas.
Temperatures at their maximum will be around 11 to 14 degrees Celsius in general, but this could rise as high as 16 or 17 in parts of Munster and south Connacht.
Now for Dublin traffic.
AA Roadwatch are reporting that it’s busy inbound on the N4 Lucan Road from the M50 Interchange to Palmerstown.
IN general on the M50 – traffic is moving well for now in both directions.
Closer to the city, and AA roadwatch are reporting that there are inbound delays approaching the Five Lamps on Amien Street.
Here’s how things are looking a bit further back at North Strand/ East Wall:
Looks like it’s already busy on Guild Street in the Docklands heading south:
The AA are also saying that traffic is building up on the North Quays from Wolfe Tone to Arran Quay and again from Ormond Quay to Bachelors Walk.
It’s also busy along the Grand Canal, with traffic moving eastbound from Portobello to Leeson Street.

The AA are reporting cows on the moove on the N84 Castlebar/ Galway Road at Kilmaine. The gardaí are en route.
Across the country:
In Galway, AA Roadwatch report it’s picking up inbound on Father Griffin Road approaching the Wolfe Tone Bridge.
It’s also busy inbound on the Headford Road approaching the Sean Mulvoy Road Junction.

In CORK:
AA Roadwatch has traffic building approaching the Dunkettle Interchange on both the N8 Dublin Road and the N40 South Ring Road.
Otherwise things appear to be moving well.
As I’m sure most of you know, musical legend Prince died yesterday.
The 57-year-old was considered a trailblazer of music and many fans are devastated at his passing.

Back to traffic.
It’s busy on the Swords Road through to the Drumcondra Road inbound (what’s new, eh?).
It’s also busy on the N32/Malahide Road inbound:
Closer to Dublin city centre, and AA Roadwatch report that it’s slow inbound on the Con Colbert Road turning right for Kilmainham.
It’s also busy on St John’s Road West, with some delays likely:
The AA report that the are no more reports of cows loose on the N84 in Mayo on the Castlebar/ Galway Road at Kilmaine.

It’s slow in Dublin on the Rock Road inbound past Booterstown Avenue, according to AA Roadwatch.
It’s also slow on the on the Stillorgan Road past Mount Merrion and again through Donnybrook.
Back to Cork, and the AA report that traffic is still busy approaching the Dunkettle Interchange on both the N28 Dublin Road and the N40 South Ring Road from J10 Mahon.
In the city centre, traffic is busiest on Patrick’s street and Merchant’s Quay.

Another week ending, another 8 at 8 – let’s take a quick look at today’s top stories.
The gender pay gap is still alive and well in Ireland – with women still being paid 14.4% less than men across the board.
Talks will resume once again between Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael around forming a government. The talks are set to focus on water charges.

Any DART users, there’s southbound delays by up to 10 minutes due to intermittent signalling issues near Grand Canal Dock.

While traffic on the M50 seems to be moving well, the same can’t be said for Dublin city centre, unfortunately.
AA Roadwatch reporting:
It’s busy from the Coombe onto Kevin Street and through to Cuffe Street.
Still slow on the Rock and Stillorgan Roads.
Busy eastbound from Harold’s Cross to Leeson Street. Let’s take another look at Harold’s Cross Bridge:
Busy all the way inbound to Clanbrassil Street as far as Leonard’s Corner.
On de north side, and it’s busy on the Swords Road still from Whitehall Church through to Drumcondra:
Further east, and traffic is still heavy on the North Strand Road:
Further west, and it’s busy on Phibsboro all the way back to Mobhí Road and beyond.

A quick look at the national traffic before we go:
In Cork, it’s busy approaching the Dunkettle Interchange still.
It’s slow on Summerhill North inbound from after the Old Youghal Road junction the the lower Glanmire Road.
Busiest still in the centre on Patrick’s Street and Merchant’s Quay.
In Galway, and there’s standard delays inbound on the N17 Tuam Road between Loughgeorge and Claregalway and again from Castlegar to Bothar na dTreabh.
Also busy on the Dublin Road – but moving from Merlin Park to the Renmore Road.
The gardaí appear to be out in force over the last 24 hours – drive slow.
